Atomic Design is a designation for a design method for design elements in a digital environment. This method is so called because it is based on the chemistry of the composition of matter, the so-called "atomic elements." These small elements, or atoms, can be combined to create larger objects. This chemistry method parallels the design world and the many elements we use to construct our designs.
